    Resumen

ESTRADA CASTRO, Luis Jaime. The archetypical construction of the enemy:: From the mythological monster to the international terrorist. Estudios Bolivianos [online]. 2018, n.28, pp. 55-75. ISSN 2078-0362.

Abstract In this article the different structural elements are reconstructed, but, particularly, the singularities and configurations of the enmity carried to our days in the figure of terrorism as the new international enemy. Human relationships construct realities, senses and profound othernesses full of multiple meanings in which one is endowed with meaning in interaction with the world. Within this process, otherness is fundamental, insofar as it constitutes the basis for the relationship of significant community, interpersonal and even intrapersonal bonds. The formation of social organizations and human communities always generates an external and an internal relationship, where the limits, also transformable and adaptable to specific historical contexts, are strengthened, socialized and institutionalized. Even the possibility of permeability of these groups, communities, peoples or nations is regulated, instrumentalized and ritualized, while the processes of inclusion and exclusion become fundamental to maintain cohesion, identity and even security. Nevertheless, these relations of radical otherness brought to their extreme are manifested through the archetypal construction of enmity.
