This text provides a summary of the characteristics and evolution of the manner how was defined educational policies in Bolivia concerning the professional preparation of the teachers for primary and secondary level. These topics were developed extensively by the author on his book La formación docente en Bolivia. Enriching the text published in 2006, the author outlines the summary comparing it with the process, vicissitudes and the historical flats that occurred on a larger stage. In this way, the history of the teacher´s training in Bolivia has a century since the founding of Sucre´s Teachers and Tutors Normal School in 1909. It is compared with trends, visions, and the different rhythm´s processes that occur in other Latin America and Caribbean countries since the late nineteenth century to the present. The text provides insight into the achievements and limitations of the changes occurred on XXI century in Bolivia. These changes were in the teacher´s training, creating traces of ideological and political characters, which are identified and contrasted. In addition, the structure of our country, draw a scenario constructed by the diachrony of the mentalities and the synchrony of the state policies. This theoretical articulation shows the Education Reform of 1994, the Bolivian Educa-tion Code of 1955, and even the most distant relating to the indigenous education and the impulses of the modern liberal ideology in early XX century, like relevant factors to understand education and teacher´s training in our country. Also, there are in the text forces and impetus of the subjectivities that builds realities, in a scenario of historical intersection where appears the structural analysis and the institutional organization and the hermeneutics of the collectivities. These factors allow us to write scripts about the educational roles on the stage.
