LLANOS VARGAS, Juana Rosa. Cost of defective glasses in industrial production. Rev tec u [online]. 2019, vol.1, n.14, pp. 61-70. ISSN 1991-6469.

Abstract This document presents the factors that influence the variations in the cost of defective glasses produced by a factory specialized in this industrial branch. From a sample of 3555 daily multiregistrations observed over the years 2015 and 2016, the impact of each of the variables related to the time of year and the type of glass manufactured on the cost of production is identified. We reach these results using 2 statistical models that complement each other very well in the presentation of the conclusions, namely, the contingency tables and the regression analysis. Additionally, frequency distributions are constructed offenng the reader a vision of the characteristics of each variable analyzed.

Keywords : auto parts; production costs; regression models; Santa Cruz de la Sierra; contingency tables; defective glasses.
